Therapy for Physicians, Medical Professionals and Caregivers in California

You’re expected to have all the answers

But no one ever taught you where to put everything you carry.

Therapy for physicians, nurses, healthcare providers, medical students, and caregivers navigating the emotional intensity of patient care, chronic illness, and high-stakes responsibility.

You can handle high-stakes decisions.
You can lead, diagnose, stabilize, and respond in seconds.

But when it comes to holding everything you feel after…it doesn’t just disappear.

You deserve a place where you don't have to be "the strong one" or "the one who always knows what to do."

The emotional demands of your role don’t pause.

At a certain point, pushing through stops working.

Lori Rabner, LCSW

I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m Lori Rabner, LCSW

With 25 years as a licensed clinical social worker in pediatric hematology-oncology, I have had the honor of walking beside families facing some of the most complex and life altering moments imaginable. In that work, I’ve also spent decades partnering with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams as they navigated crises, high-stakes decisions, and the emotional weight of caring for patients with chronic and life-threatening illnesses.

Over the years, something became clear, the people providing care also carry stories, emotions, and burdens that need a place to land.

My Approach

I offer a space where physicians and healthcare professionals can slow down, feel understood, and explore what’s happening beneath the surface.

Our time together focuses on helping you reconnect with your purpose, understand your internal responses, and create space to process the cumulative impact of your work whether you’re navigating critical surgeries, end-of-life conversations, ethical uncertainty, or the quiet grief of repeated exposure to suffering.

Offering a concierge mental health practice that makes therapy easy for the high demand positions of medical and caregiving roles.

Beneath the roles, titles, and pressure to keep going, there is still a person deserving of care, attention, support, and space to breathe.

Therapy offers a place to come back to yourself.

Reconnect with the parts of you that exist outside of what you provide for everyone else so you can keep showing up with compassion, without losing yourself in the process.

As a concierge-style mental health practice, every effort is made to reduce additional stress and make accessing support feel as seamless as possible.

That includes helping simplify the insurance reimbursement process through superbills and out-of-network support so therapy feels more accessible, manageable, and supported from the very beginning.
